After the tortellini we thought the bar had been set high enough. But, as always, the trip raises the stakes. We are still in Tunisia: this time the “bar” is little more than a tent, a few chairs found who knows where and the usual mint tea that has by now become part of the group.
Helmets left anywhere, jackets open, tired but smiling faces. We talk about the road, of course, but after two minutes the subject changes: someone tells a story, someone exaggerates, someone laughs before even finishing the sentence. What remains is the people, those you did not know until yesterday and who today feel like lifelong friends.
“It is not the trip that makes the difference… it is how you live it.”
